We often find ourselves offering an explanation of the 'Good to the Universe' CD title. It is our hope that the words written here may someday be read and understood by many.
In the broadest sense, Good to the Universe is not meant to imply that we should simply be "good to our universe", though we may all agree that being good to the Earth is certainly good for our part of the universe. To get a greater understanding, let's talk a minute about the Butterfly Effect. As defined, it is the propensity of a system to be sensitive to initial conditions. Such systems over time become unpredictable; this idea gave rise to the notion of a butterfly flapping it's wings in one area of the world and causing a tornado or some such weather event to occur in another part of the world. We'll admit, this is a pretty extreme example. In contrast, let's talk about the Chaos Theory. In a scientific context, the word chaos has a slightly different meaning than it does in it's general usage; as defined, in a state of confusion or lacking any order. Chaos, with reference to the Chaos Theory, refers to an apparent lack of order in a system that nevertheless obeys particular laws or rules. The key is Balance!
A lot of scientific jargon, yes? What does all of this have to do with Good to the Universe? Well actually, everything. The Laws of Physics have guided humankind to the understanding that energy in the universe is never spent; it is only transformed to a different form of energy. With that being said, we as a people should check ourselves with an important question; what kind of energy are we outputting in our own part of the universe everyday? How you walk through your life does matter and it does make a difference. Our children need to be empowered with the understanding that they can make a difference in the grand scheme.
In life, if you can offer someone a few kind words or a few nasty words, which will you choose? Be mindful of your words, what you say will make the difference. We all make the decision many times a day to put good or bad energy out there. PaYne believes that how you carry yourself through life, the words that you speak and the actions that you take will make all the difference, and it will all come back to you. If you walk through your life with respect for others and a responsibility to achieve a greater understanding for a greater good, your life will be rewarding. In order to be a part of something greater, you must first be humble and resolve yourself to a greater purpose. What purpose? Good to the Universe!
